Today I finished my latest project, a granny square table rug. I wasn’t really sure what I was making when I started this project. I just felt like making granny squares and using up some yarn I had an abundance of. I didn’t have enough to make an entire afghan, so after making a few squares I thought I could turn them into a table rug (not sure what the proper name for that is, ha!) and the colors made me think of my of my grandma.
She loves roosters and has like a million rooster related things in her house and the colors in this remind me of a rooster, so hopefully she will like it and find a place for it in her home. Either that or I suppose it could be used around Christmas for decoration.
Crochet boredom produces weird things. =D
My next few projects will be cutesy little things like I normally do. I’ve had a few requests for different amigurumi critters and of course you’ll see them here when they’re completed.
Also, I’m thinking about participating in the Bernat 2010 Mystery Afghan Crochet Along. I think it sounds like a lot of fun, but the only thing holding me back is the cost of the yarn right now. I think it will make a really great Christmas present for someone special, so it just might be worth the cost, I think. (Help me justify this! LOL!) I’ve been quite bored with my normal crochet creations, so perhaps something like this will do be good. We’ll see. I’ll certainly keep you posted if I decide to do it.
Anyway, until next time and happy hooking!

Okay, this should be my last jellies post for a while cause I’m sure you’re getting sick of seeing them.
Today I worked on making a smaller version perfect for hanging from a review mirror or some such place. They measure approximately 5″ in length. This particular jelly doesn’t have a face, but one can always be added to future orders.
As always, they’re on my Etsy Shop.

Today I worked on the second (and much cuter, IMO) version of my happy jellies. I added long rufflies, heart shaped rosy cheeks and more tentacles. I am much happier with this version, so I’ve put them up for sale on my Etsy Shop. I can do any color and any size, but of course much larger jellies require more materials and more labor, so price will have to be decided based upon those things.

They are made with a hanging loop, so you can hang him up and let those tentacles dangle! So cute! They’re little happy faces are so contagious! If you’re interested in one but aren’t comfortable shopping through Etsy, contact me for details and I’d be happy to craft one for you.

I whipped up this little guy today just for fun. I have always wanted to do jellyfish and squids, ever since I started crocheting, so it’s about time I did. He is a prototype for more little jellies and I gave him to my Aunt Pat since he’s just so silly.
The upcoming jellies will be more detailed, have longer rufflies, and just be generally cuter. I’m relatively happy with him as he is, but I think there’s so much more potential there.
And I’ll be getting on that squid soon! =D

I made these booties for my friend Natalie’s (same baby I made the blanket and chicken for) little one who’s almost here, Savannah! I was hoping to give them to her at her baby shower last weekend, but I was unable to attend, so hopefully I can get them to her soon. Especially since she should be arriving any day now!
I really enjoyed making these. I’m thinking about doing a whole bunch of them in different sizes and colors and putting them up for sale on my Etsy. They were quick and fun!
